This scene shows the West Portal station in
broader perspective. This is the transition point between surface running and the swifter
underground portion for the three lines that use Twin Peaks Tunnel.

The station was redesigned as part of the Muni Metro subway project,
losing much of its former austere, and more pleasing, appearance. |
