Along the Dan Ryan

This is another view of train activity in the median of the Dan Ryan Expy, not too far from the end of the line.  A long Red Line train is heading outbound.

And thus many pages after this series started, it ends.  Chicago is like no other place in the country with respect to the visibility and venerability of the Loop.  And there are many other features that endear the CTA to the urban rail enthusiast.  Much of the system is old, yet the the area has had the wherewithal to extend or build lines to both major airports, and to provide service to whole new areas of the metropolis.  There are problems, including chronic financial pressures.  But it works.  It is good.
