SAN DIEGO LIGHT RAIL
Blue Line North

The Blue Line continues generally north from downtown to a terminal at Old Town Transit Center.  A small number of rush hour trains provide service seven stations further out to Qualcomm Stadium, along the Green Line route through Mission Valley.

From the rear window of an outbound trolley not far north of downtown, this view affords a fairly good perspective on the up and down nature of this portion of the line, as well as on its closeness to the Amtrak and Coaster and freight route on adjacent, ground-level, tracks.  It would have been nice if some sort of rail activity could have been included in the scene.

Part of the city's skyline is also in view.  Of all the largest cities in the country in population, San Diego's highest building is the most diminutive.
