Old Town, like most stations, is two-tracked, but the
one on the right in this view normally handles only the Blue Line, to and
from San Ysidro/Tijuana. The left rails accommodate the Green Line to and from
Santee Town Center. The runs are timed so that the many who
transfer here may do so with reasonably little waiting required.
For about
seven years, prior to the
opening of the Green Line in 2005 and route restructuring, the Blue Line
continued out to Mission San Diego in Mission Valley. |
