SACRAMENTO LIGHT RAIL
Vehicles from CAF

This view is of car 225, waiting at the Meadowview terminal.  The system's newer light rail vehicles are numbered in the 200 series, and were acquired from the Spanish company Construcciones y Auxiliar de Ferrocarriles -- known as CAF.

When it opened in mid-2004 this route, known then as the South Line, ended along K St. in center city.  It is now part of the Gold Line, which provides service to Watt/I-80.
