The curving track in this photo leads into the northern
end of the line's Riverside Maintenance Facility. That good-sized
complex lies between the Cedars-Riverside station and the next
stop out, Franklin.
The somewhat startling standard paint scheme of the light rail vehicles
shows well in this image. Bright yellow highlights the ends
of the cars, but gives way to silver with red and blue accents in the
middle. Many cars are now painted in various advertising schemes,
which change over time, and which are sometimes pretty extreme.
A portion of the Minneapolis skyline lies beyond, as is the case in many
of the images ahead in this series. |
