Both the Cedars-Riverside and Franklin Avenue stations lie to
the eastern side of Hiawatha Ave. South of Franklin Avenue the
line ascends to travel along a sweeping overhead structure which
crosses Hiawatha, as well as busy E. Lake St.
There is an above-ground station
along this stretch, Lake Street/Midtown. Glass panels add some
pleasant color near ground level and above. |
