SEATTLE STREETCAR
Streetcars on Westlake

The South Lake Union Line operates seven days a week on fifteen-minute headways, which means that trains in opposite directions usually meet roughly midway, along  Westlake Ave.  In this view looking toward where the street bends at Denny Way (and where Westlake becomes Westlake Ave. N), runs are seen going both ways.

Streetcar operation on Westlake is along the outer lanes of the roadway, which is also used by regular traffic.  The is no signal prioritization for rail traffic at the many cross streets.
