SEATTLE STREETCAR
Turning onto Westlake

The line's streetcars were manufactured by a Czech company, Inekon Trams A.S.  The model is called the Trio-12.  Similar units, but of a less-advanced design, entered service earlier first in Portland and then in Tacoma.

In this scene, one day before public operation began, a test run had just turned off the short stretch of private right of way, crossing Valley St. to head onto Westlake Ave. N.  Rail traffic has its own signal to proceed across this very busy intersection.
