SAN FRANCISCO LIGHT RAIL
At Castro

Castro station assumed a very brief role as a route terminal in 2007, when the T-Third line began operating between there and Sunnydale Ave.  Service issues, and the resulting complaints, were so extensive that that arrangement ended after only several months of weekday operation.  Under the revised plan the K-Ingleside is through-routed with T-Third.  The line changes route identification at West Portal heading into the subway, and at Embarcadero heading out to Balboa Park.

This view from the inbound platform at Castro shows a train from West Portal and beyond with doors already closed.  Fairly soon the first T-Third train of the day, then still operating in initial weekend-only mode, will occupy this space.
