SAN FRANCISCO LIGHT RAIL
Outbound, Approaching Forest Hill

This view is at Forest Hill, deepest station on Muni.  Lights from an oncoming outbound train appear in the  distance.

After the Twin Peaks Tunnel opened there were for many decades two stations along its route.  Forest Hill was originally called Laguna Honda.  Closer to city center was Eureka Valley.  A bit beyond there inbound, trolleys emerged from the original portal to resume street running into downtown.  The building of the Muni Metro subway in the 1970s resulted in the closure of that stop.  The current Castro subway station is located not too far away from the former station.
