SAN FRANCISCO LIGHT RAIL
Into the Tunnel

Daylight gives way to tunnel darkness at the West Portal station.  The train in this scene is heading toward downtown.  Inbound K-Ingleside trains change identification here, becoming T-Third runs.  This combining of two lines is highly unusual, likely unique to U.S.A. light rail.

Here and at all stations underground there is an agent on duty to oversee appropriate passage and fare collection.
