Butterfield is an additional twelve stops beyond
16th St. That intervening stretch, unfortunately, does not
have any photo coverage, so far, in this series. Its major defining
feature is a lengthy and complex overpass takes the RT through an
area where the U.S. 50 Freeway, the Union Pacific "Fresno Line,"
Folsom Blvd. and other city streets pass.
A three-car inbound train is preparing to leave Butterfield,
terminal stop in a much earlier era, on this winter afternoon.
The maximum speed for cars from both manufacturers is 55 miles per
hour. |
