The old Placerville branch of the former Southern
Pacific survives as a Union Pacific freight line paralleling the
light rail for several
miles west and east of Butterfield. The single track seems to
show fairly frequent usage in this view. The outbound Gold
Line run has just crossed
Butterfield Blvd. |
