Caution Signal

As is typical also in other cities, all the newer portions of off-street running have concrete ties.  The Blue Line RT turns to and from the left in this photo.  There is a caution signal, and a 30 MPH speed limit for LRVs approaching the junction.  The Gold Line is overhead. 

The former Western Pacific mainline, now a Union Pacific freight artery, runs straight ahead.  Once upon a time the original California Zephyr ran along this route.
