In this scene, as well as in many of the other downtown images
in this series, the city's Skyway system is much in evidence.
Pedestrians traveling between many of the major public and commercial buildings can
complete their route above-ground, with all street crossings and
passages protected from the
elements.
There are shops in many of the buildings along
these indoor corridors. It's a well-used network, particularly
when the Minneapolis weather turns less than pleasant. |
