LOS ANGELES METRO LIGHT RAIL
View from Alameda St.

The newest portion of the Gold Line continues briefly at elevation beyond Union Station (the tower of which is visible in this image).  The line crosses the busy Hollywood Freeway, and then twists to parallel alongside and above Commercial St. briefly, before turning sharply to the southeast, where it returns to street level for a run alongside Alameda St.  A portion of that turn, and the beginning of the descent, can be seen to the right.

Road signs provide direction to various freeways and attractions.  The red banner promotes an exhibit at the nearby Annenberg Space for Photography.
