In July, 2009, all appears ready ahead for the
forthcoming Gold Line extension to Atlantic in East Los Angeles; but the
marker and red flag dictate that trains are not to
progress beyond this point. Crossover switches are visible
ahead, and the overhead catenary can been seen veering westward
along the new route.
The next five pages in this section show pre-opening aspects of the
new portion of the line, as photographed that July -- about
four months before the line began operation. |
