A soaring overpass, built for the Blue
Line, carries light rail over Slauson Ave. and a BNSF local freight line. On a fairly clear
day the far off San Gabriel Mountains are visible from the station
platform. Much closer lies a large zone of industry and commerce
stretching to the north and east through several cities.
