The downtown Los Angeles subway portion of the
Blue Line was put into service a year or so later than the rest of the route.
It was celebrating its Grand Opening in early 1991 at the time of this
photo.
All Metro rail lines have route numbers assigned to them in the 800
series. The Blue Line, first such service put into operation,
is Route 801. These numbers are not used for normal
identification purposes. |
