MEMPHIS HERITAGE RAIL
Beyond Cleveland Ave.

Car #453 appears again in this image, this time beyond the last stop on the Madison Ave. Line, on the far side of Cleveland Ave.  The track near the camera continues beyond the switch in the distance, but presently leads nowhere.  At some point in the future a conventional light rail line may continue from this location to Memphis International Airport.

The Madison Ave. Line travels about two miles along that street.  The route supports higher speeds than the other two lines, and has relatively little of tourist interest near its stops.  There are major medical and education facilities located nearby at several stations.

This particular streetcar is a well-done and very much modern-day replica, built by Gomaco Trolley Co., "manufacturers of authentic vintage trolley cars."
