The River Rail Electric Streetcar began operation in 2004.
It consists of two lines. The
longer North Route crosses the Arkansas River to link the cities of Little Rock and North Little Rock. A
shorter South Line operates on a circuit along downtown Little Rock streets.
The system is a component of the Central Arkansas Transit Authority.
Streetcars for both lines are visible in this scene at 2nd and Scott in
Little Rock. The destination sign for the trailing unit reads "Little Rock Loop."
