NEW YORK CITY HEAVY RAIL
Near Queensboro Bridge

This photo is from the 1980s.  The Flushing Line had distinctive red paint to its vehicles back then.  An eleven-car train heads on its way on the high level, with structure below still in place that supported service across the Queensboro Bridge.  Freight cars add railroad interest to the scene.  Nearby was, and is, the large Amtrak Sunnyside Yard.
