NEW YORK CITY HEAVY RAIL
Trees Beyond, Jamaica Line

The Jamaica Line heads out along the system's oldest portion of elevated structure still in use.  This segment dates to the early 1890s.  The concentration of trees beyond is from within a series of cemeteries, and Forest Park in Queens is further out and adjacent.  It is a warm May morning, and things, other than the newer model of subway car visible ahead, seem to be pretty much as they have been for decades and decades along this stretch of track.                 .
