This photo is again at Okeechobee in the late-1990s, then the terminal to the northwest.  Typical Florida palm trees are down below.  The system's storage and maintenance is near here, a bit further out along the line. 

Two stops inbound from here is the Tri-Rail Station, a station added after the original opening of the line to the northwest.  There one can transfer (separate fares) to and from the commuter line operated by South Florida Regional Transportation Authority.  That lengthy route (over 70 miles long) travels through three counties, from the vicinity of West Palm Beach, well to the north of the metropolitan area, down to a terminal near Miami International Airport (but not into or near downtown Miami).
