CHICAGO HEAVY RAIL
Approaching Roosevelt

A Green Line train approaches the Roosevelt station from the south in this view.  The junction with the Orange Line is marked by the elevated tracks in the distance.

This is the only stop the joined lines share before they reach the Loop.  And that last station in the Loop for the Green Line is a surprisingly far distance away, eight tenths of a mile, give or take.

There is a dedicated passageway here for a free transfer to the Red Line subway, a block away.
