The passenger walkway visible in this image
connects what was formerly the Broadway station on the Expo Line
(just out of sight, on the upper level, to the right) with the Commercial Dr.
station on the Millennium Line, visible below, where a train is at
the platform.
In 2009 the stops on both levels were renamed to Commercial-Broadway
Station, with different track numbers assigned.
Millennium Line trains thus now stop twice at
the same station, many minutes and much distance apart. If the train on the upper track is running that route, it
will head out to New
Westminster and then will continue on a lazy loop to the general north, and back
to the west, winding up
twenty-two stations, and close to fifty minutes, later below, before
it continues one further stop to VCC-Clark. |
