The 501 Queen is the longest streetcar route in
the TTC network, at almost 25 kilometers (over 15 miles). This
car is approaching the end of its segment along the Queensway, heading
for downtown and east to Neville Park Loop.
Even after the coming of the CLRT and ALRT
vehicles, TTC retained an active roster of PCC units for a number of
years. The last regular service for the old and graceful cars was
in the mid-1990s. |
