TTC has two major carhouses for its fleet,
Roncesvalles to the west and Russell to the east. Some of
Roncesvalles is shown in this photo taken from the Queensway.
A third facility contains the network's major shops.
There are a total of about 250 vehicles in the Toronto streetcar
fleet.
The system has retained two of its formerly extensive quantity of PCC
units for special occasion and charter use. It would have been
nice to see one of them at some point during my wanderings. |
