TORONTO LIGHT RAIL
Tracks and Traffic

A few photos in this section, including this one, go back to a brief visit to the city on a September day in 1999.  The rest are from a single day about six years later.

This image is southbound on Bathurst St., with the junction and cross tracks at Queen St. W. just ahead.   Streetcars approach each other on the 511 Bathurst line.

TTC operates core 24 hour-a-day service, as the information sign to the left indicates.  But routes can be decidedly different in the wee hours when the "Blue Night Network" takes over from the streetcar, bus and subway system.  In many cases, including here, buses take the place of streetcars.
