This view from Commerce St. shows a
streetcar entering the slanting, short private right of way that takes
the route down to Pacific Ave. There are many old warehouses and
other buildings nearby, in a district now trending toward occupation by
restaurants and boutiques, and home to a branch campus of the
University of Washington.
A small marker between the rails in this area
commemorates the final laying of track for the short line.
