Naming rights were made available for sponsorship for
each of the line's stops. The downtown end, shown here, bears the geographic name of Westlake Hub, but
it is known as Pacific Place Station, on behalf of the nearby shopping
center.
Both terminals of the line are on short stretches of single track. The
rest of the line has a dedicated track for each direction. Different streets
are used for northbound and southbound runs for five or so long blocks just
south of Lake Union.
The South Lake Union Line is owned by the city of
Seattle, and is operated by Metro, King County's transit agency.
