This scene looks outbound along Duboce Ave., just beyond
the station platforms for Church St. The N-Judah route is outdoors
here for only several blocks before it accesses Sunset Tunnel. That
portal is just barely visible beyond the green in the distant right of the
neighborhood park, a couple of blocks ahead.
The transition from the modern subway running, to private right of way, to this short stretch of very
old-fashioned in-street running is dramatic. |
