This photo is from the westbound lanes of
Capitol Pkwy. That statehouse is straight ahead, it's
dome, impressive.
A northbound RT heading up 8th St. crosses the parkway.
Some blocks directly behind the camera is Tower Bridge, spanning the
Sacramento River. That distinctive structure once carried
Sacramento Northern interurbans to and from the Bay Area. It
also served to carry highway traffic for U.S. 40,
once a transcontinental route much beloved by road aficionados. |
