Because of the one-way street patterns, there are four different
intersections where the two MAX routes cross in downtown, single track to
single track. There are no
connections at any of these locations.
The eastbound train in the background bears
the destination sign for Gresham on the Blue Line. Because of vandalism
elsewhere in center city on
that line that morning, it ended here, and through passengers needed to
transfer either to the shuttle bus to its right, or to Portland Mall trains
such as pictured here, to get across Steel Bridge. |
