PORTLAND MAX LIGHT RAIL
Turnaround, Southern End

Because Portland Mall rail traffic rotates clockwise, future trains (in this scene from before service started) will be approaching the camera location, to turn in the looping area before heading back northbound on SW 6th Ave.  In total, about eight blocks are traveled out of revenue service between last southbound and first northbound stations  This may be the longest stretch without revenue service in regular use anywhere in the country.

The Legal and Financial District is visible ahead, and the tall building ahead is the loftiest in Portland: the Wells Fargo Center, at 546 feet high.
