The corner of SW Morrison St. and SW 11th Ave. in downtown Portland has
notched into the pavement a track for through MAX trains, and a track for the Portland Streetcar, and
also switch
rails for MAX trains that have, at times past, looped back in center city. It's a
complex and nice pattern in this day and age, a sight for the transit lover to appreciate.
Although the Streetcar is operated by TriMet personnel, the line is owned by
the city of Portland, through a non-profit organization. |
