There is indeed a fountain by Skidmore Fountain.
The structure goes far back into the city's history and folklore, with its
dedication occurring in the late 1880s. Portland has a long and rich past, as
such timelines are measured in the Pacific Northwest.
In this view a Yellow Line train, in its former routing, is preparing for the nearby
stop. It has that station and one further along NW 1st Ave. before it
ascends Steel Bridge to cross into Northeast Portland. |
