It was a chilly early
spring day at the time of this photo. A train was running through
downtown before heading off onto what was then the newly opened right of way
west to Hillsboro.
Car 117 has a generous expanse of front window. This first order of
MAX vehicles had high-level floors, requiring special procedures for the handling of
mobility-impaired passengers. All the later models allow low-floor
access into the center portion of each car, and the
lifts are no longer utilized. |
