The Overbrook line, one of the two main routes
between South Hills Junction and Castle Shannon, was out of service
for reconstruction for about eleven years. It reopened in mid-2004, rebuilt to much
more modern standards. In this view an inbound train has left
the rather remote Bon Air station. After twisting along ridges
and through hillsides it will rejoin the Beechview line and reach
South Hills Junction, two stops away.
