PITTSBURGH LIGHT RAIL
Summer Haze

The rails in the foreground carry a substantial amount of freight traffic on what is now the Norfolk Southern.  Once upon a time it was the Pittsburgh & Lake Erie Railroad that ran here, and there is a nicely restored, large P&LE passenger station nearby at Station Square -- now used for restaurants and other leisure activities.  Downtown's skyscrapers are bathed in hazy sunshine in this view taken on a muggy June day.
