terminal, the Mall of America lies prominently ahead. And what a mall it is -- 520
or so stores in all, including about 20 sit-down and 30 fast-food restaurants.
And
Camp Snoopy, "the nation's largest indoor family theme park."
And a huge
aquarium. And multiplex movie theater. And beyond all that, plans for
significant expansion.
The Mall first opened in 1992 on land where once there had been the stadium for the area's professional baseball and football teams. |
