Older homes are very much in presence along the
fairly short stretch of Minnehaha Ave. that the Hiawatha Line utilizes.
There are also a number of businesses in the area; the coming of light
rail will likely hasten the destruction of what has existed for decades,
with older properties replaced by condominiums.
An inbound train
is receding from the camera in this view. As the noise of the
train diminishes, the scene becomes again an exceedingly quiet one. |
