Posters were still in place at the time of this view, a
month or so after the fact, commemorating the beginning of Minneapolis
light rail in June, 2004. A strike had postponed for several
months the originally planned first day of service. Much civic
ceremony took place at the individual stations during the route's
inaugural, part of a concerted effort to promote the new service. |
