The Southwest Museum station is nestled along
Marmion Way at the base of Mt. Washington in Northeast Los Angeles.
Busy Figueroa Blvd. is a block to the right, but is mostly out of
view from the station area. A pedestrian walkway allows for
passage across the tracks. Numerous warning signals, visible
and audible, provide the
necessary alerts when trains are in the area.
The tall column with its "winged guardian" is one of three
that provide
unusual artwork to the area. |
