LOS ANGELES METRO LIGHT RAIL
Distant Rows of Palms

The view, from the mammoth parking garage near the last stop, shows a train at Sierra Madre Villa awaiting its return to L.A.  Traffic is fairly light, for the moment, on westbound I-210.  Distant palm trees add a certain appeal to the vista.

It is possible to go from  here to Los Angeles International Airport almost entirely by urban rail.  But such a trip would require taking the Gold Line to its Union Station end; transferring to the Red or Purple Line; then after several stations in the subway, moving to the Blue Line light rail; and then yet again changing routes, this time to the westbound Green Line light rail.  All that would then remain would be a short (and free) shuttle bus ride from the Aviation/I-105 station to get to LAX.
