The outbound terminal of the Gold Line, shown
here, is in the
median of the Foothill Freeway at Sierra Madre Villa Ave., several
miles east of downtown Pasadena.
Planning is underway to take the Gold Line much further east
from this stop. The projected extension would be more than
twenty miles long, to the city of Claremont
in the most eastern reaches of Los Angeles County. But all of
this is contingent on getting necessary funding, which remains an
uncertain prospect. |
