The Gold Line is physically separated from the
other Metro light rail routes. There is a fairly compact yard
for the line located on the downtown side of the Los Angeles River,
near the Metrolink tracks visible below.
On this particular run we waited a bit as our motorman
ended his tour of duty and walked off across both sets of rails, and down to his
staging area. The new driver was soon on board.
The next
river crossing in view, pictured earlier from a different vantage point, is the old
Buena Vista Bridge, for North Broadway highway traffic. |
