After the Pico/Aliso station, the Gold Line
enters a 1.8-mile deep-bored tunnel that takes it below the Boyle
Heights neighborhood. There are two underground stations,
Mariachi Plaza and Soto. The line then emerges and makes a
couple of bends to take it into the median of E. 3rd St., outside
the Los Angeles city limits. There are three more stops
outdoors before the line reaches its terminal at Atlantic in East
Los Angeles.
This view is between the Indiana and Maravilla stations. The
street and light rail dip to pass under the Pomona Freeway.
