LOS ANGELES METRO LIGHT RAIL
Replica of an Ancient Bell

A replica of a bell from more than two thousand years ago is installed beneath the Chinatown station.   The modern version of the Yong Bell weighs three-quarters of a ton.  It was a gift from Guangzhou, a sister city to Los Angeles.

Stairs to the station appear to the left in this view.  The further part of the overhead structure carries the Pasadena-bound rails.
